I must tell you something about myself: just the idea of competition sends me running in the opposite direction. I just can’t wrap my head around it! We are each one of us, unique, in the way we conduct our business and the services we offer. There is enough business for everyone! I believe it is our responsibility to offer something unique in order to stand out.
Nothing makes me more excited than knowing that I can be of help. It’s in my nature. That’s why I love what I do. Whether it’s helping a client realize their plans or helping a colleague with their ideas and concerns by offering advice or solutions. I feel gaining trust and respect is ultimately the greatest reward, because this leads to referrals.
My vision was to build a network of vendors who are like minded and who would invest the time to co-promote with the intention of building strong alliances and acquire the added benefit of increased exposure to their own business.
This group is about building working relationships. When we think about it, we do it all the time, we connect with other vendors who are hired by the client we are working for, or we connect when we meet at conferences or networking events. And don’t we all make this promise? We say, “Hey we have to get together again soon”, always that promise to “keep in touch”. Well I thought it would be great to create a means where industry professionals could meet on a more regular basis, share experiences, share advice and join together to work on projects. Something else unique about this group we have more than one member per category, in fact some categories have 5 members. This would be the Event Planner category. I love the effortlessness we experience when we discuss our business challenges and concerns!
I am so excited about how far we’ve come in such a short time. The Events Management Team (the nucleus) of Love Share Events have contacted and established affiliations with some pretty amazing people who have readily shared their contact list with our group. All because they see the value in the way we promote each other and how we are all working to pay it forward in the community.
Here’s how it happens: we describe the concept, speak about the advantages and within 5 minutes they are on-board and offering their help. Within days of each other, we have secured our venue for the Love Share Events Launch party – August 21st, 2013 at L’Ambroisie, L’Éspace Canal (for anyone in the events industry, please send us your contact information if you wish to receive an invitation and be put on our VIP list); we have secured our venue, L’Espace Reunion for our “Wedding Conference for Couples” fundraising event in November, and we have secured the venue, for the “Love Share Events Free Wedding for a deserving couple” more details will be shared at the Launch party.

Relationship building is like building bridges to new destinations. Everyone has experience to bring to the table everyone has a different way of looking at situations and this has become an education for me. I have enjoyed learning new ways to deal with and handle challenges in the industry. Furthermore, I have been able to share ideas and receive advice I would not have been able to experience otherwise. Most of all, I have met the most incredible people along the way!
We all came up with the name of this group Love Share Events; the name encompasses our mission. I am grateful for the way this project has been received. I am extremely grateful for the privilege of being surrounded by such generous and dedicated professionals.
